It does not charge older laptops with proprietary barrel connectors.
Can it charge a phone and laptop at the same time?
Yes. The alain HyperLux has 3 ports — 2 USB-C and 1 USB-A. When a laptop is connected to one USB-C port, the charger distributes power across all connected devices. With a laptop and phone connected simultaneously, the laptop receives reduced wattage (typically 45W) and the phone receives the remainder. Both devices charge simultaneously.
