alain Prime
Snap on. Charge on.
Some accessories ask for attention. The Prime does the opposite. It is 10.25mm thin and weighs 121 grams, and once it snaps onto the back of your iPhone, it mostly stops being something you notice.
Designed to disappear
A magnetic power bank lives on the back of your phone, so every millimetre is something you feel. The Prime keeps that to 10.25mm and 121 grams. It is a flat, slim power bank with MagSafe-compatible magnets, made for iPhone 12 and newer.
It is not trying to be the biggest battery in the category. It is trying to be the one you are happy to leave attached.
Two ways to charge
Wireless, 15W MagSafe. Snap it on and keep using your phone with both hands free. 15W is the top speed Apple's MagSafe system supports.
Wired, 20W USB-C. When you are in a hurry, plug in. Our specification puts an iPhone 15 at about 0 to 50% in roughly 30 minutes. Real results vary with the phone, the cable and the temperature.
Wireless for convenience. Cable for speed.
A free MagSafe ring in the box
Every alain MagSafe power bank, the Prime, Air Mag and Magon, comes with a MagSafe ring included at no extra cost. It is a thin magnetic ring that sticks to the back of a non-MagSafe case, so the power bank can snap on securely. If your case already supports MagSafe, you do not need it.
One practical note: a thick case can weaken the magnetic grip. If the hold feels loose, check your case first.
What 5,000mAh really means
It is a top-up, not a second battery. For many phones it takes you from low to comfortably through the evening. It will not replace a bigger battery on a very long day. If you want roughly double the capacity, look at the Magon below.

Prime, Air Mag or Magon?

All three include the ring and the same 15W and 20W charging speeds, so the choice comes down to size, capacity and price. The Air Mag is the thinnest and lightest, at 9mm and 112g, with a metallic finish. The Prime sits at 10.25mm and 121g. The Magon doubles the capacity to 10,000mAh in a 14.2mm body.
Prices as of 5 October 2026 and can change.
Who it suits, and who should skip it
It suits you if you have an iPhone 12 or newer, you do not like bulk, and you want a top-up that stays on the phone without changing how it feels.
Skip it if you drain your phone twice in a day. A 5,000mAh power bank cannot cover that, and the Magon or a larger PowerFlex will serve you better.
Frequently asked questions
Which iPhones does the Prime work with?
iPhone 12 and above, which have the MagSafe magnets built in.
Do I need the MagSafe ring?
Only if your case is not MagSafe-compatible. If it is, you can leave the ring in the box. The ring is included free with the Prime, Air Mag and Magon.
Can I use it with an Android phone?
You can charge an Android phone through the USB-C port with a cable. The magnetic attach is built for MagSafe, so it will not hold on an Android phone without a magnetic ring or case.
Can I take it on a flight?
Yes, in your cabin bag. At 5,000mAh it is about 18.5Wh, well under the usual 100Wh limit. You cannot use it on board. See our guide to power bank rules on flights in India.
Is wireless charging slower than the cable?
Yes. Wireless is the convenient option and the USB-C cable is the fast one. The Prime supports 15W wireless and 20W wired.
What warranty does it have?
1 year against manufacturing defects. See the product page for terms.
