What is MagSafe?
MagSafe is Apple's magnetic alignment system for iPhone 12 and above. What is standard Qi wireless charging?
Qi (pronounced chee) is the universal wireless charging standard. All iPhones from iPhone 8 and above, and most Android phones from 2018 onwards, support Qi. Standard Qi wireless charging pads do not have magnets — you place your phone on the pad and it charges, but the phone can slide off or charge inconsistently if not placed precisely.
